In devlog 59, I cover the new module mobility systems that allow you to adjust the rotation and elevation of each turret. Module that are placed on the side of the ships suffer from a lack of coverage under normal combat situations. This is due to the fact that nearly all modules offer a much higher range of rotation , and less elevation. The new garage sliders allow you to adjust the rotation orientation of each module (as before) , but now you can also adjust the elevation of the turret. As you add more to the elevation, the range of rotation is reduced to compensate for the elevation bonus.
I have also made some major changes to the inventory code that handles the way items are moved from the ship’s cargo bay to the station storage, refinery and fabricator. You are now able to make partial drag and drop movements between the cargo bay, and the station storage, refinery and fabricator. I have also reworked some of the market code to better optimize the way the market items are loaded and displayed. All market functionality has had an overall boost to it’s speed and performance.
I have been working on updating the ship textures to a more detailed 4k ones. I am happy to announce that I have made some serious progress on this front. This was a needed step before I could look into painting and decorating the ships. It will take me some time to figure it all out, but I am headed in the right direction.
Anyway, thanx for watching, super thanx for the support.
